Dr. Dongwuk Cha, DDS completed and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo, School of Dental Medicine in 2011. Before his dental education in the U.S., he worked as a fund manager in a major financial company in South Korea. In college, he served in the Korean R.O.T.C. and became an Officer of the Korean Army as a Platoon Leader and was discharged in 1996 as a First Lieutenant.
Since becoming a dentist, Dr. Cha has been practicing general dentistry in Pennsylvania, Minnesota, and recently in the Atlanta area since 2019. While he enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, Dr. Cha is exceptionally well suited to complex dental treatments, such as Implant dentistry, Laser dentistry, Dentures, Root canal treatments and Surgical extractions. In addition to all general dental procedures, Dr. Cha is also certified in dental implant treatments. Most recently, Dr. Cha has become certified in performing advanced periodontal surgeries, such as the Laser Assisted New Attachment Procedure (LANAP).
Throughout his dental career, Dr. Cha has prioritized excellent patient care, especially emphasizing clear doctor-patient communication. He prides himself as a skillful, dependable and compassionate dentist with strong work ethics. In his free time, Dr. Cha enjoys cooking, outdoor exercise, and spending time with his wife and three boys-Patrick, Aiden, and Declan.
