Frequently Asked Questions

Have a question for our team? Want to know if it’s time for your next dental visit or if we can work with your dental insurance? On this page, you’ll find answers to these questions and many more of the most common ones our patients ask us every day. If you still have a question after reading through everything, please feel free to give us a call. Our goal is to make sure you always understand your dental care and options.

How often should I see my dentist?

According to our own doctors, as well as the American Dental Association, people of all ages should visit the dentist at least twice a year for a checkup and cleaning in order to keep their teeth healthy and avoid preventable dental issues such as tooth decay, cavities, gum disease, and more.

When should my child have their first dental visit?

You should bring your child in as soon as you can after their first teeth start to erupt or no later than their first birthday. This will give our team a chance to check their development and teach both of you how to care for their new smile!

Why do my gums bleed so much?

It’s either because you’re brushing/flossing too hard or you have gum disease. Are your gums also a bit red and puffy? These are classic signs of gum disease, and if they are familiar, you should contact us as soon as you can for treatment. Left untreated, it can easily lead to tooth loss.

What is the best choice to replace my missing tooth?

Dentistry at Suwanee has a number of restorative treatments that can replace any number of missing teeth, but for the most natural-looking and longest-lasting results, we may suggest dental implants. They resemble real teeth in almost every way and have been shown to last for 30 years or more.

Can you make my smile look better?

Yes we can! To give your smile that little extra “something,” we have a variety of cosmetic services. With them, we can do everything from simply whiten your teeth to give you a complete smile makeover. It’s all up to you, and we’ll help you do it!

Will you accept my dental insurance?

Our practice is happy to accept all PPO and traditional dental insurance plans, and we’re in-network providers with many of them! Our team of insurance experts will make the process of using your benefits as simple as possible, and to see how we can use your particular plan to help you save at your next appointment, contact us today.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We take cash, checks, all major credit cards, as well as dental insurance. You can even check your balance and conveniently pay online with our secure online portal.
